Notice of phishing email targeting APU Faculty, Students

APU faculty and students have been targeted by a phishing email which appears to come from the IMT Support Center, claiming that your account has been suspended.  This message is not from APU.

If you receive this email, please do not click the link, but instead forward the message to spam@apu.edu for further analysis.

If you did enter your credentials in this website, please immediately reset your APU password. You can do that at home.apu.edu. We also have a support article for how to change your password.

IMT has seen several fake messages warning students, faculty, and staff that their APU NetID may be “Restricted” or “Frozen.”  In this example, notice “legacy real estas” in the address bar. Today’s email links to a website with “den-apu-edu” in the address. Notice that den-apu-edu is not den.apu.edu.
