Earlier this morning, Friday January 3rd, CAS experienced a disruption that prevented members of the APU community from signing into web and mobile services. The disruption prevented new sign in sessions, presented 504/500 browser errors, or asked for tokens to login.
Our engineers were able to identify the issue immediately and within the hour of the disruption beginning, restore CAS to its normal working state.
Services impacted: All web and mobile single-sign-on services were impacted.

Reason: We were upgrading this critical service with some needed updates before the start of the new semester. Though extensive pre-testing was done and the upgrade was designed to not require any disruption to users, the upgrade was unsuccessful and planned immediate reversion steps took longer than anticipated. We apologize for the impact that this had to your day and pre-start of semester activities, and will incorporate these learnings to reduce impact in the future.
Status: RESOLVED All services are presently working.
