Configuring Safari Settings on a Mac

To configure your Mac and Safari settings: 

NOTE: Check your Safari version number by clicking Safari in the menu bar, then, click About Safari.

 

SAFARI 12

1. Open Safari and go to the website that you need to access

2. From the Safari menu, click Preferences

3. Click the Websites websites-tab tab, then select Pop-up Windows from the menu on the left.

4. Next to the website that is listed as blocked (in this example, it is "topproducer8i.com", click Block and Notify and select Allow

5. Close Safari, and from the dock at the bottom of your screen, click the System Preferences system-preferences-icon icon

6. Click the General general-preferences-icon icon

7. Set the Show scroll bars option to Always

8. Close General Preferences

 

 

 

SAFARI 11 and Below

1. Open Safari, and from the Safari menu, click Preferences

2. Click the Security security-tab tab, and clear the Block pop-up windows check box7.PNG

3. Close Safari, and from the dock at the bottom of your screen, click the System Preferences system-preferences-icon icon

4. Click the General general-preferences-icon icon

5. Set the Show scroll bars option to Always
