Inbox was built by the Gmail team to give you a new way to stay organized and get back to what matters. Everything from Gmail (your emails, contacts, and labels) is available in Inbox. Gmail and Inbox stay in sync so what you do in one app carries over to the other. Gmail and Inbox have many of the same features, but there are differences. To get the most out of Inbox, try to use it for all your email. You can always switch to Gmail if you want to.
Things to know
Inbox by Gmail was created to help reinvent the way you get things done, and we think you’ll love using Inbox at work. However, note that Inbox is not meant to match Gmail feature for feature, so some traditional features (for example, setting up an out of office reply or listening to APU voicemails ) are not available in Inbox at this time.
APU Gmail (mail.apu.edu) will continue to be the primary web client and will NOT be replaced with Inbox. Inbox is simply an alternative way to interact with your APU email.
Head over to inbox.google.com and sign in with your APU Google account on your desktop computer.

Organize your inbox
Here are several ways to keep your inbox clean, organized, and free of clutter.
- Give emails custom, Gmail, or pre-set labels.
- Clean up your inbox with bundles so you don't have to scroll through a bunch of emails.
- Pin emails you don't want to forget to your inbox.
Get reminders for important emails and tasks
Set reminders for a specific time or place and they’ll show up in your inbox. Whenever possible, Inbox includes relevant info like phone numbers and links to each reminder.
When you want to get emails and reminders out of your inbox until it's time to tackle them, use snooze.
View photos & track your trip plans
With Inbox, you can see photos people have sent to you and view trip updates like flight and hotel reservations without even opening their emails. Flight status and confirmation numbers are highlighted so you can see everything together in one place.
