Diagramming solution useful to easily create flowcharts, organization charts, simple floor plans, mind maps, Venn diagrams, and more.  It is a user friendly, web-based diagramming tool focusing on the ease of drawing and manipulating a wide variety of charts and drawings. LucidChart also integrates seamlessly with Google Drive, Google Docs, and Microsoft Visio.  LucidChart is free for faculty and staff!

From the Application Launcher found on any Google Apps Product, scroll down to the very bottom and click the LucidChart icon.

Best Practices for this Application/Tool

  • For ease of access, link LucidChart to Google Drive and then create new charts from Google Drive instead of LucidChart web page.
  • Automated backup/restore to Google Drive is available.  Please follow these instructions.
    • Select "Account" on the LucidChart home screen
    • Click "Backup/Restore"
    • Select options

Service Notes

  • Since this tool is web-based, an Internet connection is required in most cases, however, a Google Chrome browser app is available for offline use of LucidChart.
